For March and since we are now in the season of Lent, we are featuring a conversation on the liturgical year between our director, Louie Calma, and Fr. Glenn Baaten, the pastor of St. John Henry Newman and chaplain of Santiago Retreat Center,

In this conversation, we will briefly look back on Fr. Glenn's pastoral journey into the Catholic Church. We will then discuss the significance of a liturgical year. But didn't St. Paul do away with "festivals, a new moon, or a sabbath"? Why then does the Church impose a calendar with Holy Days of Obligation, cycles, seasons, memorials and feasts? How about the liturgy of the hours? What do all these got to do with the Gospel and deepening a relationship with Jesus Christ?

So join us with your family, friends, or colleagues at Brewheim. Introductions will begin at 6:30 pm and the talk will begin at 7:00 pm. Our event is FREE of charge, open to the public, and to all ages. A food truck is usually available at the rear of the building #cheers2jesus
