LITURGY & MUSIC
The liturgy at Blessed John’s is in the Ordinariate Form of the Roman Rite. Sometimes referred to as the "Anglican Use," it is a form of the Mass in the Roman Catholic Church informed by the Anglican patrimony. The English Catholic tradition also uses Gregorian Chant, English Chant & Plainsong, with traditional English hymnody.

HOME SCHOOL CO-OP
Blessed John’s is exploring offering a home school program to serve our many families who expressed a desire for traditional Catholic education. The co-op would begin in Fall 2020 and run during the school year, September through May, and offers core and enrichment classes for all grades, Mass, Confession, Adoration & Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, as well as shared classes and space for students to work.
During the fall through the spring of each year, we offer the following classes on Sundays at 10AM: First Communion (ages 6 years and up), Children's Confirmation (ages 7 years and up).
We have periodic Adult Education classes on Sundays and during the week through Emmaus Bible Study.
Blessed John’s assists the needy in the Orange County directly through financial assistance to individuals and non-profits. The Knights of Columbus take a lead in directing our efforts.
Our women’s group, Gianna Club, has monthly regular meetings & special events.
For older teens (14+) and adults, we offer the Evangelium Course for reception and/or Confirmation into the Catholic Church. This is also open to any adults who which to go deeper in their faith. Classes will be offered on Sundays at 10AM during the fall through the spring of each year.
EVANGELISM & DEVOTION
During the year the Catholic Church celebrates important feast days not just liturgically with Masses, but also with Processions, Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, Parish Potlucks, and educational events. Blessed John’s has a devotional guild that coordinates these: Society of Mary. In addition, we host Theology on Tap events periodically for adults over 21 years of age, featuring speakers of different backgrounds presenting on various topics.
