The solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary falls on Monday, August 15th.

"Whenever the solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary falls on a Saturday or a Monday, the precept to attend Mass is abrogated." Code of Canon Law: Canon 1246 section 2. Therefore, this year's solemnity is not a Holy Day of Obligation.  Regardless, St. John's will be offering Mass at 7:00 pm in the Queen of Life Chapel.
