Father Joe Horn will present some delightful truths and some common misconceptions about Confession, and how Catholics are blessed by this powerful Sacrament. A short Q&A will follow.

Fr. Joe Horn entered St. Michael's Minor Seminary in 1970 at 14 years of age. He studied Theology at the University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome (Pope St. John Paul II's alma mater) 1977-1981, where he received his Master's in Theology. Ordained to the Norbertine priesthood, June 1981. Earned Lifetime California Teaching Credential at UCI, 1985. Master's degree in Mathematics at UCI, 1990. Published "HP-71 BASIC Made Easy" in 1986 in English, German, and French... a book about programming on a portable computer. Invented the PDQ Algorithm for Hewlett Packard in 2003 (a patented method for parameterized rational approximation of irrational numbers). Taught Religion, English, and Mathematics in high schools (St. Michael's Prep, Mater Dei, & Mary Star of the Sea) from 1981 to present. Webmaster for St. Michael's Abbey from 1995 to present. Obtained FAA Certificate for piloting UAS (drones), December 2015. Currently serves as a weekend parish assistant at St. Thomas More in Irvine (since the mid-80's).
