Easter Vigil (Anglican Use)

  • Blessed John Henry Newman Catholic Church 2532 Dupont Drive Irvine, CA 92612 USA (map)

The Triduum concludes with the Easter Vigil. Come experience the full traditional complement of the best of the Roman Rite in sacral English in the Anglican Use liturgy! The mass begins in darkness with the Exultant chanted in candlelight, and progresses till the bells ring at the Gloria in full light. The traditional Homily of St. John Chrysostom is read, and the Tabernacle is refilled with the Presence of God once again as we celebrate the resurrection in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

Following Mass, we will have a parish feast in the cellar! Everyone is asked to bring a food or drink item to contribute, if able.
