Solemn High Mass (Anglican Use)

Join Blessed John Henry Newman parish at the Rosary Chapel at Santiago Retreat Center for a solemn high mass in the Anglican Use of the Roman Rite. This will be Glenn Baaten's first mass as a Catholic priest! Glenn is a former Anglican priest who will have just been ordained as a Catholic priest two days prior. Bishop Steven Lopes, the first bishop of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter will be presiding from the throne with Bishop Kevin Vann of the Diocese of Orange in (clerical) choir.

Music will be lead by the Tallis Chapel Society and a reception in the courtyard will be catered. Fr. Baaten will give his priestly blessing for those who couldn't attend his ordination in San Diego and the two bishops and the clergy of the Ordinariate will be available to visit at the reception.

After the mass, there will be a brief presentation on the upcoming transformation of the Rosary Chapel into the Ordinariate-run Chapel of Our Lady of Walsingham:

Then, an outdoor barbecue feast will follow!
